Meet Our Founder

Being of Nigerian heritage, self care is an engrained part of my culture and personal ethos. Growing up, i watched my mum religiously paint her nails a fire engine red as part of her grooming routine as a primary school teacher, instilling in me an elegant way of expressing myself.

My love of nail polish led to many years of accumulated damage from acrylics nails and cheap polishes. It was during my time living in London that i was introduced and fell in love with natural skin care which led me to search for non-toxic nail polishes that would help my nails heal while also having a positive impact on the environment.

Living in London for me meant i was time poor as living in this bustling city meant i wanted to see and experience as many places and things as possible in my spare time, so finding a solution for my nails that didn’t leave me sitting around for hours was essential.

Upon returning to Sydney a few years later to continue my career in marketing, i was disappointed by the lack of quality choices on non-toxic nail polishes. The well known brands jumped on the marketing bandwagon but didn’t deliver to a conscious brand ethos and especially did not have me as the consumer in mind. The brands that offered non-toxic polishes still left me disappointed with having to apply multiple coats and ultimately ended up with chipped nails after only a couple of days. I realised there was an opportunity to do something unique, that offered the best of both worlds.
